Are You Trying to Please God or People? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 83 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 83 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 7 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 83 Scripture:

"Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." -Galatians 1:10

Day 83 Devotional:

"This verse right here says it all. You can't please the world and also please God. This world is full of evil and corruption. If we're trying to people please all the time, then we're going to be straying so far away from our God led calling, from the purpose that God has for us, and from doing what's commanded of us because we're constantly trying to do what the world wants or what other people in our life want instead of what God wants us to do. As servants of Christ, we should always seek to please God and not other people. So today let's take some time to reflect on how we can serve Christ and please God."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord thank You for all that You've done for me. I know that I can't please You and please the world. You are the most important thing in my life Lord. Every day I seek to please You in all that I do. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Today's journal questions:

Have I been trying to please God or other people?

Is having the approval of others important to me? Why or why not?

What are some things that I can do to serve Christ?

"Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." John 12:26
