Do You Feel Exhausted from Always Trying to Do the Right Thing? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 35 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 35 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 55 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 35 Scripture:

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." -Galatians 6:9

Day 35 Devotional:

"It's not always easy following God and obeying Him, especially with the way the world is today. Corruption and rebellion are being normalized. So many people are condoning bad behavior because it makes them "happy." If we follow Christ, pray, and study the Bible, then we can discern between what's right and wrong and always choose to do the right thing. When we get overwhelmed and feel exhausted, we can pray and ask God for strength. If we stand firm in our faith, continue to follow the Lord, and let Him guide our steps, then He will provide for us more than we could ever do for ourselves. We have to stay close to the Lord and not give up when times get tough."

So no matter what is going on in this world, no matter how hard it is for you to resist the temptations of this world and to deny your flesh, we have to make sure that we are dying to our flesh every day, picking up our cross, and following Jesus. We see this in the books of Matthew and Luke, so let's read Matthew 16:24-25 real quick:

"Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and pick up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.' " -Matthew 16:24-25

This is also in Luke chapter 9:23-25. We see in these verses that we have to deny our flesh daily, pick up our cross, and follow Jesus. Even though it may be very hard at times to seek to do good, seek to live and have a heart like Jesus, follow His commands, and implement His teachings in our lives, we have to make sure that we are getting that strength from God. God will provide strength and everything that we need to do all that He calls us to do. Everything will work out in His perfect timing, we just have to stand firm in our faith and follow Jesus every single day.

I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:

To Purchase women's journal click here To Purchase neutral journal click here

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord, please help me to discern between what is right and wrong and help me to always choose to do the right thing. Please give me strength in times when I feel weak and weary. Thank You, Lord, for providing for me and always guiding me. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Today's journal question:

What should I do when I start feeling exhausted from always trying to do the right thing?

Take some time to journal and reflect

"Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it."

-Psalm 34:14

So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day 36, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
