Day 18- Top 7 Benefits of Drinking Water

As you may know, one of my goals this week has been to drink a gallon of water a day.


Water is the only thing I drink now, which is crazy. I used to hardly drink water and drank coke all the time.


In the past week of water a gallon of water a day I have noticed so many benefits To drinking water. Drinking water literally has so many benefits, it’s insane.


Today, I will be talking about the top 7 benefits to drinking water.



1. Keeps your skin hydrated and healthy.


When your skin is dehydrated, it is more vulnerable to premature wrinkling and and skin disorders. Drinking plenty of water everyday keeps your skin hydrated and younger looking.



2. It helps keep you regular.


When you are dehydrated it can lead to constipation, heartburn, or stomach ulcers. The bowl has to have water to properly function.



3. Flushes our toxins in your body.


Drinking plenty of water everyday helps your body flush out toxins through urination and sweating.



4. Helps with weight loss.


Water helps you feel more full and helps remove fat by-products. When I drink a bottle of water with my meals, I get full a lot quicker and tend to eat a lot less. Water can also be a natural appetite suppressant and can even boost your metabolism.



5. Lubricates your joints.


When you are dehydrated for a long period of time it can lead to joint pain because it can reduce the joints‘ shock-absorbing ability. Cartilage that is found in the joints and disk of of the spine contains about 80% water.



6. Helps your kidneys.


Not drinking enough water can lead to kidney stones and other problems. Your kidneys regulate the fluid in your body.



7. Prevents Headaches.


Not only does water increase brain power, but it also helps prevent and relieve headaches caused by dehydration.



Now, how much water should you drink per day?


It can vary depending on your age, weight, sex, climate you live in, and activity level.


To get an exact amount of water you should be drinking everyday, you can multiply your weight by 2/3 and then add 12 ounces of water intake for each 30 minutes that you exercise.


Clearly there are some amazing benefits to drinking water. So stay hydrated and dont forget to drink your water. 😘😊
