Why Should We Not Love the World or Anything in it? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 27 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 27 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 63 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 27 Scripture:

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever." -1 John 2:15-17

Day 27 Devotional:

"When we are saved and we have the Holy Spirit in us, we have eternal life through Christ Jesus. As believers of Jesus Christ, it is important to follow Him and be fully submitted to the will of God the Father. With that being said, we have to stand firm in our faith and not give in to the temptation of the world. Loving this world and giving in to worldly desires will only lead to destruction. As disciples of Jesus Christ, this world is only our temporary home. Our true home is in heaven with Jesus and God the Father, so we have to keep our hearts set on God and not on worldly things."

So this devotional really says it all. We have to make sure we focus on seeking the LORD and His righteousness, seeking that closeness with God, seeking guidance from Him, and not being distracted by worldly things, fleshly desires, materialistic things, and things of this world. We have to stay focused on Jesus Christ and what the Holy Spirit wants us to do and seek to live and have a heart like Jesus.

I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:

To Purchase women's journal click here To Purchase neutral journal click here

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your only Son to die on the cross for my sins. Thank You Jesus for making the ultimate sacrifice and giving me eternal life through You. Holy Spirit please open my eyes and my heart to stay fixed on God and not to turn to worldly things. I love You with my whole heart Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Today's journal entry is a free write:

Write down whatever comes to your mind.

"The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." -Galatians 6:8

So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day 28, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
