What Does the Bible Say About Faith? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 10 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 10 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 80 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 10 Scripture:

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." -Hebrews 11:1

Day 10 Devotional:

"Nothing is possible without faith. When we believe in God we have faith. Even though we have not seen Him we know He exists. We have to hold on to that faith through every aspect of our lives. Especially when we are trying to stay faithful to things that we don't quite understand. God will always come through for us and He will never leave us, we just have to have faith and put our hope in Him alone."

So even though we've never seen God, we have faith and we know that He exists. Some people say "well I can't believe in God or I can't have faith because I can't physically see Him, I don't audibly hear from Him, I don't know that He really exists." And that is why faith is so very important. The Bible is full of God's words, His promises, it's full of all the prophets, disciples, Jesus's life, and all the proof that we need, but we have to make sure that we have faith to believe what we hear and see in the Bible. We have to have faith to believe and know that even though we've never seen God we know He exists and we know that our hope and trust is in Him alone, and we're just going to walk by faith and not by sight.

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord, I pray for peace knowing that You are in complete control and faith that Your will be done. Even though I have not seen you, I know that You exist and my hope is in You, always. I love you with my whole heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

The questions for today are:

What does having faith in God mean to me?

Why is having faith important?

What are some ways that I can stand firm in my faith?

"We live by faith, not by sight." -2 Corinthians 5:7
