How Will the Truth Set Us Free? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 20 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 20 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 70 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 20 Scripture:

To the Jews who has believed him, Jesus said "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." -John 8:31-32

Day 20 Devotional:

"These verses go hand in hand with the verse that we went over yesterday. Yesterday we went over Jesus Christ being the way, the truth, and the life. So here in these verses, we see that if we hold to the teachings of Jesus Christ then we are His disciples. When we are truly disciples of Jesus Christ then He saves us, sets us free from our sins, and gives us eternal life in heaven. So the only way to know the truth is to know Jesus; for He is the truth. All throughout the New Testament of the Bible, we see the words of Jesus Christ, His teachings, and ways to follow Him and be His disciples."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Jesus, I know that You are the truth and the only way to be set free of my sins is through You. Please help me to have the courage to let others know about the truth so that they may be set free also. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."

Today's journal question:

What are some teachings of Jesus Christ that I can implement in my daily life?

Take some time to journal and reflect

"But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin." -1 John 3:5
