In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 6 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 85 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.
Day 6 Scripture:
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." -Proverbs 16:3
Day 6 Devotional:
"When we are fully committed to the Lord and the plans that He has for our lives then we will always succeed, because we are in alignment with His bigger purpose. The Lord has our best interests at heart. If we stay faithful to His plans for us and the calling that He has placed on our hearts then we will experience a full and abundant life. If you aren't sure of the calling that He has placed on your heart, then it's time to be still and ask God to reveal your calling. When you feel that tug then the next step is to take that leap of faith and stay faithful to it."
So everything that we plan for our lives on our own, may not always come through. We may not succeed with all of our plans. A lot of things are going to fall through if we are just trying to do things on our own and live our own life. When we are committing to the LORD in all that we do then our plans will succeed because we are being faithful and obedient and walking in the path that God has for us. We are walking through the will that He has for our lives, therefore our plans are always going to succeed when we are doing the will of God. God has a calling for every person and He has a gift for each of us and we have to make sure that we are seeking the LORD, asking Him for guidance through every aspect of our lives, and asking Him what it is that He is calling us to do.
I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:
So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.
Today’s Prayer:
"Lord, I pray that You open up my eyes to see the calling that You've placed on my heart and the plans that You have for me. Please give me the courage and strength to be fully committed to the plans that You have for me and guide me every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
The questions for today:
What calling has God placed on my heart?
In what ways can I stay faithful and committed to that calling?
What are some daily things that I can do to commit to the Lord?
"The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it."
-1 Thessalonians 5:24
So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day seven, so make sure you stay tuned for that.
I love you guys so much.
