Yesterday was another day that showed me how blessed I truly am and I'm so grateful for everything that God has done for me.
We had an exciting, amazing, and exhausting day!!!
Yesterday I woke up at 9:30 am, did my prayers, goals, affirmations, made and ate breakfast (2 scrambled eggs with cheese and grapes,) packed snacks, and left the house by 11 to head to run some errands and then go to Beech Bend Amusement Park.
We were literally at Beech Bend from almost open to close. It opened at 12 pm and closed at 9:30 pm and we were there from 1 pm until 9:15 pm. I haven't walked around and been that active for that long in a very long time. Like I can't even remember the last time, that's how long it's been.
"God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." Isaiah 40:29
Since we were going to be there all day and I didn't want to be tempted to buy food there, I packed a ton of healthy snacks. I packed grapes, strawberries, cheese, mixed nuts, and quinoa and flaxseed chips.
WE HAD SUCH A BLAST! We stayed at Splash Lagoon until about 6:00 pm. Mainly walking and floating in the Lazy River. Although we let the kids go to Tiki play thing and slide and splash around and did a few other things. We were so blessed that the kids enjoyed the Lazy River as much as we did though (the Lazy River has always been my favorite.)
After the splash lagoon we went the car and my sister and niece and nephew ate pb&js. I ended up eating a spoonful of peanut butter. Then we headed to ride rides.
We watched the kids ride rides and took pics and videos. I actually made a Beech Bend Vlog on one of my YouTube channels that will be up on Tuesday. I'll put the link at the end of this blog if you want to go check it out :)
The kids had sooo much fun riding rides but honestly I was exhausted and ready to leave after the Splash Lagoon. Although I did suck it up and was so glad I did because we made new memories that I'll always cherish. The kids rode new rides they had never rode before and we managed to get a family pic in a beautiful setting.
After we left Beech Bend my mom and sister has to run some errands and I went by Wendy's and got a half sized Berry Burst Chicken Salad. We ended up not getting home until after midnight and I passed out shortly after (which is why I didn't make this blog post yesterday.)
We walked A LOT yesterday and I'm not going to lie, towards the end of the night I was dragging and so ready for it to end. But looking back at it today, I am so blessed that I am ABLE to walk around a big amusement park for hours. I am blessed that the Lord gave me strength to resist all the bad but yummy looking food that was there and that people were eating around me. Yesterday was another day that showed me how blessed I truly am and I'm so grateful for everything that God has done for me.
Before you go, I'm going to leave you with this prayer... I pray that you cherish the memories that you make everyday and soak it in. I pray that God gives you the strength to keep going even when you're exhausted and don't want to go anymore. And I pray that you always remember how blessed you truly are because God is always working miracles in your life. In Jesus name, Amen.
Never forget to choose faith over fear.
