I did want to say a quick prayer... Lord, I pray that you lift up every person reading this right now. Please give us knowledge and understanding to know exactly what it is that we are reading and the wisdom to implement it in our daily lives. Holy Spirit please guide us and help us to see the truth, know the truth, discern the truth, and live by the truth. I pray that whatever it is that each person is supposed to receive from this Bible study, they receive it and implement it in their daily lives. I love you with every ounce of my being. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Galatians Chapter 6:

1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5 for each one should carry his own load.

6 Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Alright, so I am going to stop right there and discuss these verses with you guys here. So in verse 1, we have to be gentle and help others who have fallen into temptation but stand firm in our faith so that we can stand up under temptation. In verse 2, Christ died on the cross for our sins and he carried our burdens on the cross. He carried our sins, he lived a sinless life, but he died on the cross to forgive us of our sins so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. While Jesus was on this earth he humbled himself, loved, and served others. We as Jesus' disciples should love and serve others, help them in their time of need, and show kindness and compassion to others just like Jesus shows us. Jesus is full of grace, compassion, and mercy, and he lived a sinless life.

In verses 3-5, we cannot let pride get in the way of standing firm in our faith and being fully submitted to the will of God the Father. We are nothing without Jesus. We have to stand firm in our faith, follow the Lord, obey his commands, and not compare ourselves to others. We are all sinners, we all make mistakes, each person is different, and God loves all of us and wants us all to be saved and go to heaven. In verses 7-8, God the Father is the Almighty, He is our Creator, and His glory will prevail. He cannot be mocked and if a person is giving into their worldly desires and the sinful nature then they will receive destruction and when it is their time to go they will be going to hell because they are not saved by Jesus Christ. No good comes from giving in to the sinful nature and just doing whatever we want and what our flesh desires and not obeying the Lord, following him, and letting the Holy Spirit guide us. Those that let the Holy Spirit guide them and portray the fruit of the Spirit to others will have eternal life in heaven because we are saved by Jesus Christ and we are not being deceived by worldly things and desires but we are discerning the truth and letting the Holy Spirit show us the truth, discern the truth, and guide us through every aspect of our lives.

In verses 9-10, it can be exhausting doing good all the time and staying on the right path, especially with the way the world is today. The world is so full of corruption. sin, deception, and lies. So many people will tell you to do things that are not right and we have to make sure that we are standing firm in our faith, follow the Lord, obey his commands, and seek to live and have a heart like Jesus. Whenever it's our time to go we will be going to our true home in heaven. This world is only our temporary home and our true treasure and our true home is in heaven with Jesus Christ and God the Father. So we cannot give into this world, our worldly desires, and worldly people. In every opportunity, we have to do good to all people, help others, love others, serve others, be there for them and show them kindness and compassion.

11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

12 Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh. 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.

17 Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.

Alright, so those are all of the verses of chapter 6 of the book of Galatians, but I'm going to discuss these verses with you guys here. In verse 12, if these legalists that tried to convince the church of Galatia to be circumcised said that they were only saved by the work of the cross of Christ and not by being obedient to the law, then they would be persecuted. So they were trying to convince these people to obey the law and that they would be justified by the law and by their good deeds so they wouldn't face persecution. In verses 14-15, the only thing that we should ever boast about is the cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross for us and whenever he died on the cross for us the world was crucified to us and us to the world. Whenever we are saved by Jesus Christ we are dead in our sins and alive in Jesus. We are no longer slaves to the law, the world, and our worldly desires because we have a new life and creation in Jesus Christ.

Here are 3 takeaways to write down:

1. We as disciples of Jesus Christ have to carry each other's burdens

2. We have to live our life to please the Spirit and not give in to worldly desires

3. Whenever we are saved by Jesus Christ we are dead in our sins and alive in Jesus and he gives us new life

Galatians Ch 6 Study Guide

  1. What should we do if we see others sinning?

  2. Does any good come from giving in to the sinful nature? Why or why not?

  3. In verse 10, why should we do good to all people?

  4. What is the only thing we should boast about? Why?

  5. What is your biggest takeaway from this Bible study?

So that concludes this Bible study on chapter 6 of the Book of Galatians and all of the Bible studies on the book of Galatians. Next time we're going to go over the importance of praying for everyone, so make sure that you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.
