5 Life-Changing Bible Verses to Live By & Remind Yourself of Daily - Let's Draw Near to Christ

Have you been trying to incorporate Christ in your daily life?

Are you looking for inspiration or Bible verses to live by and remind yourself of daily ?

In this episode, I provide 5 of my favorite Bible verses that I live by. These verses are so powerful and life changing if you really live by them and believe them. You can write down these verses, memorize them, keep them in a bookmark in your Bible, keep them in your notes on your phone, however you want to do it, but these verses are great to remind yourself of daily.

Here are the 5 Bible Verses to Live By:

1. "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."

-Philippians 4:13

This is so powerful and is one of my absolute favorite Bible verses. There are times where we may feel weak, and we can always go back to this verse and remember that we can do all things through him who gives us strength. When I remember this verse and I live by it, it helps me to stay strong in the times that I feel weak.

2. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

- Proverbs 3: 5-6

When we're going through things that we don't understand, we just have to trust that the Lord's got us and not try to understand the situation or try to figure it out on our own, but just know that the Lord is in complete control and he's got us. If we acknowledge the Lord in everything that we do, he will make our paths straight. We just have to ask him for guidance and let him lead us and not try to live our own lives or control our own lives. These Bible verses are so important to live by and things that I remind myself of all the time, because I'm the type of person that just wants to do everything on my own. Once God shows me one thing, I try to handle the rest on my own and that's not how it should be. We should always seek guidance from him, trust him with all of our hearts, and acknowledge him in everything that we do.

3. "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will."

- Romans 12: 2

This verse right here is so important to live by and to really remind ourselves of, especially with the way the world is today; it is so full of evil and corruption. We can't be conformed by our worldly desires, we have to be transformed by the renewing of our mind and that means to seek the truth through God's word, to study our Bible, and to have that close relationship with Christ so we can discern the truth. I live by and remind myself of this verse daily and it helps me from being deceived by worldly lies and being conformed by this world.

4. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

- Romans 8: 28

Have you ever had bad things happen in your life and you felt like God didn't love you? Or "how could this happen if God was working for my good" or "why is God punishing me?" I know there's been times in my life where I have had those thoughts. This verse reminds me that in all things, God works for the GOOD of those who love him and that's been called according to his purpose. We, as Christians, and disciples of Christ, have all been called according to God's purpose and we all love God. He works for the good of us, he has our best interests at heart, and even when things don't go our way, whenever things happen that we never imagined what happened, it is for our good. Everything that God does is for our good. We lose people for our own good, bad things happen for our own good. This verse is one to live by and always remember that God works for our good, he's not against us.

5. "Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His love endures forever."

- Psalm 107: 1

Every day we should be giving thanks to the Lord and just thanking him for every single thing he's done. In one of my past episodes about the five daily habits to draw closer to God and have that healthy relationship with them, one of the habits I talk about is expressing gratitude and thanking the Lord. Every day whenever I wake up I thank him for every single thing he's done. I thank him throughout the day whenever things go my way and when they don't go my way, when I have little wins and big wins. I'm always expressing gratitude to the Lord because I know that he is good and his love endures forever. He loves us so much that he gave his only begotten son to die on the cross for our sins to forgive us of our sins so that whoever believes in him shall have eternal life. Giving thanks to the Lord is so important and we should do it every single day.

Those are the 5 Bible verses that I live by and remind myself of daily. The Bible is the greatest tool to be able to see God's words and studying your Bible will help you to discern the truth of his words. It is full of so many great books and there are so many verses that are important to remember and live by. It is so important to study your Bible and let God show you your truth, because the things that he wants you to see could be different from what he wants others to see. All of the verses in the Bible are important and work together to let us know the truth of God's words, but the verses above are just some of my favorites and ones that have changed my life.

Before I let you go, I want to say a quick prayer.... Lord, I pray that you be with every single person reading this right now. Lord, I pray that you wrap your arms around them and show them so much love. I pray that they know that you're always right here with them no matter what, and that you are good, merciful, loving, and that they can trust you and know that you've got them. I pray that you give them strength, courage, peace, knowledge, understanding, guidance, and that you direct them and make their paths straight. I love you so much Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I love you guys so much.
